MAHABALI TEMPLE

Overview

Dedicated to Lord Hanuman, this temple near the Imphal river is a famous place of worship for the Hindu population of the state. Located in a dense jungle with a large number of monkeys, this temple  aptly has Hanuman as its deity. Before you step in the premise of the temple, you will see rows of flower sellers at the gate. After buying some flowers to offer to the deity, enter the temple and you will be greeted with a large congregation hall, facing towards the shrine. An idol of Hanuman is inside the shrine and if you look around, you will see monkeys everywhere- on top of the temple and on trees nearby. Now, that's sounds like the temple has been blessed by Lord Hanuman himself.
