Overview
Deopani Mandir is a beautiful temple surrounded by tea gardens on all sides, in Karbi Anglong Assam. It is a temple devoted to the Goddess Durga. The temple premise also has a small pond inside it. There is also a huge banyan tree inside the premises of the temple. This tree is considered to be a scared tree and devotees of Maa Durga visiting this temple often tie red ribbons on the tree. It is believed that if you make a wish while tying a ribbon on the tree, the wish is granted by the Goddess herself. After the fulfilment of which, one is required to come and untie the ribbon.
